Thunder Hosts Chicago Sockers In Free Exhibition Match In Edina Saturday May 9
Game Will Take Place at Kuhlman Stadium at Edina Middle School at 6 p.m.

BLAINE, Minn. (Friday, May 8, 2009) - The Minnesota Thunder will host the Chicago Sockers in a free exhibition match Saturday, May 9 at Kuhlman Field in Edina at 6 p.m. The match is brought to fans free of charge by the Edina Soccer Association. 'We are excited once again to return to Edina for our annual exhibition game,' said Thunder general manager Djorn Buchholz. 'The Edina Soccer Association has been a great supporter of ours over the years and we would like to offer them our thanks. Because of their support, we are able to offer this game free of charge to the public.'

This marks the third year in a row that the Thunder has held a free of charge exhibition game in Edina.

The Thunder will return to regular season play on Saturday, May 16 at 7:05 p.m. when they host the Cleveland City Stars at the National Sports Center. For tickets please visit www.ticketmaster.com
